Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Uppen Comer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Comer comes to the cage accompanied by I'm Shipping Up To Boston - Dropkick Murphys. Joey Cooper will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joey Cooper!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice cross by Cooper.
Cooper digs a good body shot into Comer's ribs.
Cooper misses with a straight left.
A jab from Cooper does it's job there.
Cooper bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Cooper missing with a left hand there. Comer was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Cooper tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Comer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Comer misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
You can see the frustration on Cooper's face as Comer controls the position.
Cooper gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Comer thows a huge punch but Cooper dodges it nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cooper swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cooper throws a hook to the side of Comer's head but Comer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cooper lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Comer has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Comer and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Cooper has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Cooper parries the strikes from Comer easily there. Comer is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Cooper to escape.
Comer is looking to take a break and control but Cooper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Cooper regains half guard there - taking advantage of Comer's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Cooper pushes Comer off looking to stand but Comer dives back in and keeps control.
Comer looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Comer wants to free his trapped foot but Cooper is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Uppen Comer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Comer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cooper doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Comer.

I've got Cooper winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
