The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michalak shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Monkey napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Michalak breaks Monkey's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Michalak got a little sloppy there for a moment and Monkey has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Michalak has managed to get both his arms back between Monkey's legs - danger averted.
Monkey looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Michalak is defending well. Monkey quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Michalak has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Monkey celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
