Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dante Ascanio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Helkama Raisu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ascanio comes to the cage accompanied by Otis Taylor / Ten Million Slaves. Raisu has chosen Sleepy Sleepers - Kesämopo as his entrance music. Dante Ascanio could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Helkama Raisu's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ascanio staying out of range there.
Ascanio throws out a loose jab but Raisu uses good head movement to avoid it.
Raisu looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Ascanio finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Ascanio takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Raisu misses with a low kick.
Ascanio jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Raisu tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ascanio swivels and escapes.
Ascanio throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Ascanio misses with a lunging right hand

and Raisu counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ascanio!

Raisu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ascanio is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Raisu tries to move into full mount but can't pass Ascanio's legs.

Raisu tries for a kimura but Ascanio is defending well.

Raisu swings around for an armbar but Ascanio sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Raisu's guard.
Ascanio wants to stand but Raisu is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ascanio not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Raisu is looking for a triangle but Ascanio pushes his legs off easily.

Raisu looking for a guillotine here but Ascanio defends easily.
Ascanio wants to pass the guard but Raisu is keeping the position.

Raisu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ascanio can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ascanio slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Raisu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Raisu moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Ascanio is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Raisu looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Ascanio puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Raisu tries to get to full guard but Ascanio has control of the leg.
Still in half guard, Ascanio seems content to control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Raisu is looking for a sweep. Ascanio is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Helkama Raisu dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Raisu shoots in looking for a takedown but Ascanio manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Raisu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Raisu tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ascanio swivels and escapes.

Raisu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dante Ascanio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Helkama Raisu.
Raisu looks to land a left hand but Ascanio moved out of range nicely.
Ascanio throws a lazy right hand but Raisu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Raisu takes a swing at Ascanio's ribcage but misses.

Ascanio drops Raisu with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Raisu! Ascanio dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
