Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Butsy Grabber! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Bucker! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grabber shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Grabber was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bucker is wriggling around trying to escape.
Grabber wants to finish this one by submission but Bucker is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Grabber. Grabber working Bucker over with strikes here. The referee warns Bucker that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Grabber lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bucker is rocked! Bucker is trying to escape the mount.
Bucker is still in real trouble! Can Grabber finish him? Grabber with a couple of short strikes. Grabber looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grabber prevents Bucker from getting the reversal. Grabber landing strikes from the mount and Bucker is in trouble! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bucker regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grabber moves nicely into side control. Bucker is trying to get back to half guard. Grabber working the head with strikes. Grabber taking a breather here. Bucker can't do much from the bottom here. Grabber tries for a kimura but Bucker is defending well. Bucker seems to have recovered his senses. Grabber has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Grabber grinds an elbow into Bucker's temple.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grabber is chipping away with strikes.
Grabber is putting a hurting on Bucker here, landing some big shots from side control. Grabber scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Bucker to see if he's OK. Bucker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grabber. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bucker is trying to get back to half guard. Bucker takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Grabber in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Bucker looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Grabber turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
