Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fortier gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Fortier wants to control but Carver is keeping him busy.
Carver is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Fortier wants to pass the guard but Carver is defending well.
Fortier misses with a head shot. Carver uses the momentum to regain guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Carver is on top in guard.

Carver is in close to Fortier's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Fortier is rocked!

Carver gets to his feet and stands over Fortier, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Fortier felt that one! Carver unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Fortier from any more punishment!
