Damons is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: All the Above. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damons has his takedown stuffed
and Santiago counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Damons throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Damons.

Damons looking to score a takedown here. Santiago is defending well but Damons drives through and ends up in Santiago's guard.
Santiago looking to hit a scissor sweep but Damons is one step ahead there.
Santiago looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Santiago wants to stand but Damons is controlling the position.

Damons trying to control but Santiago is working from the bottom.
Santiago tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Santiago knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Damons on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Damons tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Santiago swivels and escapes.
Friar Santiago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trey Damons.
Damons will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Santiago lands with a nice body punch.

Damons closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Damons lands in his opponent's guard.

Damons is fighting to break Santiago's control of his arms but Santiago is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Damons feints and as Santiago raises his hands in defense, Damons changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Santiago controls Damons momentarily but Damons frees himself.

Damons is looking to pass into half guard but Santiago pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Santiago is in guard.
Damons is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Damons has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Santiago doesn't defend quickly enough and Damons has managed to lock this one up! Can Santiago escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Damons on a fantastic submission victory.
