Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ric Flair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilliam Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flair's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, ric flair theme song. Howard has chosen The Terminator as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gilliam Howard! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flair takes a shot right to the bread basket. Howard drops Flair with a big left hand and mounts him. Flair is in big trouble!

It looks like Ric Flair has been cut. Flair is trying desperately to improve position. Oh Flair is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Howard looking to finish with strikes here!

Flair seems to have got his legs back now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Flair tries to get back to half guard but can't. Howard unloads with some shots from mount but Flair bucks and avoids them well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Howard thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Howard scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Flair?

That's two minutes gone in the round. Flair closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Flair lands in his opponent's guard. Flair stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Howard swivels though and keeps the full guard. Flair stands up over Howard, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Flair won't allow Howard to get back to his feet. Howard keeping full guard, as Flair tries to pass. Howard looking to hit a scissor sweep but Flair is one step ahead there. Howard keeping moving, preventing Flair from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Howard can do anything to dispel that myth. Howard lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Flair! BOOM! Howard connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Flair uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Howard. Howard looks to score with a jab to the body but Flair is just out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. No luck for Flair with that takedown attempt. Flair takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Ric Flair's cut is getting worse. Flair keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Howard. Flair scores with a takedown into Howard's guard. Howard wants to stand and escape but Flair is having none of it. Howard throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Flair loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Flair lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Howard bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Flair's guard. Flair lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Howard! Howard can't escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Flair in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Howard tries to get back to half guard but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gilliam Howard dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ric Flair's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Howard looks to land a left hand but Flair moved out of range nicely. Howard throws a shot from downtown. Flair moves away and avoids it. Howard swings for the body but Flair moves out of range.
Flair fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Howard keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Howard lunges at Flair with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Flair's hand. Flair takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Flair walks straight into a right hand from Howard - that's dropped him! Howard jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Flair from any more punishment! Flair complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Gilliam Howard!
