Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vanden Plas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyo Kurosaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurosaki has chosen Different Sense - Dir En Grey as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plas looks to land a body kick but Kurosaki moved away.
Kurosaki loads up on a big right hand but Plas slips the punch.
Plas misses with a body kick.
Plas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Plas wants it to stay on the feet.
A combination from Kurosaki does no damage.
Kurosaki swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Plas.
Kurosaki misses with a lunging right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kurosaki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Plas as he avoids it easily.
Plas tries to land a leg kick but Kurosaki saw it coming and moves away.
Plas throws a head kick but Kurosaki moves out of range.
Kurosaki misses with a takedown attempt - Plas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Vanden Plas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyo Kurosaki.
Plas fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kurosaki.
Kurosaki looks to land a right hand but Plas moved out of range.
Plas thows a leg kick but Kurosaki checks it
and Kurosaki makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Vanden Plas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kurosaki shoots in for a takedown but Plas shows good takedown defense.
Kurosaki takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Plas stuns Kurosaki with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
No luck for Kurosaki with that takedown attempt.
Kurosaki blocks a head kick by Plas.
Kurosaki takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Plas misses with a body kick.
Plas tries a low kick but Kurosaki avoids it.
Kurosaki swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Plas connects with a leg kick. Kurosaki looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Plas cracks the inside of Kurosaki's front leg.
Kurosaki dives in for a single leg takedown but Plas sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Plas goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Kurosaki has clasped his hands together around Plas's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The strikes coming from Kurosaki are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kurosaki trying to control the position but Plas is working away.
Plas tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kurosaki wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Plas defending against the ground and pound.
Kurosaki lands a nice forearm strike.
Plas is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kurosaki's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Kurosaki throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Plas is looking to control Kurosaki's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Plas avoid being mounted?
Kurosaki drops an elbow to the side of Plas's head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Plas is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kurosaki is controlling him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kurosaki postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Vanden Plas will probably get the nod.
That's time! Plas's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kurosaki connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Plas blocks a jab.
Kurosaki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Plas tries to avoid it but Kurosaki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Plas to the ground. Plas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vanden Plas is winning the standup battle so far.
Kurosaki throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kurosaki digs a good hook to Plas's body.
Kurosaki misses with an uppercut. Plas saw that one coming.
Kurosaki scores with a nice right hand.
A swing and a miss from Kurosaki.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kurosaki, as that shot connected.
Plas turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Kurosaki lands a nice shot to the body.

Kurosaki throws a jab but it's blocked by Plas.
Plas avoids the body shot from Kurosaki.
Kurosaki throws an overhand right that lands on Plas's shoulder, as Plas tries to avoid the shot.
Plas fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Plas lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Plas fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kurosaki on the side of the head.

Kurosaki tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Plas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kurosaki.
Plas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Plas displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kurosaki throws out the jab.

A clash of legs there as Kurosaki blocks the low kick.

and Plas counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Plas.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Plas with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kurosaki to score with a decent uppercut.

Kurosaki is breathing heavily.
Plas keeps Kurosaki at a distance using the push kick.
Plas fakes the leg kick and cracks Kurosaki in the body.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Plas.
Nice uppercut lands for Plas. That snapped Kurosaki's head back.
Kurosaki takes a jab right on the kisser.
It looks like Kyo Kurosaki has been cut.
Plas lands with an uppercut that bounces Kurosaki off the cage and back into range.
Kurosaki is rocked!
Plas lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Kurosaki is still on wobbly legs! Can Plas finish him?

Plas closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Kurosaki out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

After winning the bout, Vanden Plas thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
