Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Metal Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ripper comes to the cage accompanied by Sabaton - Metal ripper. The key to victory for Metal Ripper has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki throws a nice head kick!
Ripper throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ripper slips a jab from Aoki.
Shinya Aoki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ripper just misses with a punch to the body.
Ripper uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Aoki.
Ripper darts in trying to clinch
and Aoki counters with a flying knee. Nice.
A chopping leg kick lands by Aoki.
Ripper throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Aoki throws a hook to the side of Ripper's head but Ripper sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Aoki shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Aoki is looking for a kimura but Ripper is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Aoki to get the leverage.

Aoki drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ripper looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ripper looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ripper!

Aoki is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Ripper gets his way!
