Shields shoots in but Marshall avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Shields closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Marshall to the mat! Marshall manages to get full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Shields wants to stand but Marshall has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Marshall had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Shields defends it easily.

Shields has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Marshall is proving hard to escape from.
