Nguyen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Caldwell dodges the punch combination from Nguyen.
Nguyen just misses with a punch to the body.
Nguyen moves away from the strike by Caldwell.
A slow jab from Nguyen misses its intended target.
Nguyen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Caldwell was well out of range. Poor timing from Nguyen.
Nguyen drops Caldwell with a beautiful combination! Caldwell stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Nguyen is looking for the KO!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Caldwell throws a big shot that misses.
Nguyen throws a nice looking combination but Caldwell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nguyen lands a right hook to the body.
Nguyen defending well as Caldwell loads up on a big left hand.
Nguyen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nguyen lands with a good body shot.
Nguyen tries to bum rush Caldwell with a series of wild strikes but Caldwell uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Nguyen slips under a jab from Caldwell.
Nguyen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Caldwell.
Nguyen lands a jab to Caldwell's midsection.
Nguyen ducks under a wild hook from Caldwell.
Nguyen lands a big right hand that sends Caldwell crashing to the mat! Nguyen stays standing though and waves Caldwell back to his feet!
Caldwell is rocked!

Caldwell swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Caldwell bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Nguyen's head.
Nguyen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Caldwell looks up at the clock. Bad move! Nguyen lands a right hand from hell, dropping Caldwell. Nguyen pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thomas Nguyen!
