Nelson comes into the arena with Battle Hymn blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Zarrick Nelson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yoon scores with a takedown into Nelson's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yoon controls from within his opponent's guard. Yoon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nelson is keeping the position for now. Nelson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Yoon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Nelson being controlled here, momentarily.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nelson throws a series of punches but Yoon moves out of range. Yoon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nelson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Yoon is in Nelson's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yoon throwing strikes but missing. Yoon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Let's hope that Yoon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Nelson trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yoon looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Yoon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nelson's guard. Yoon wants to control from the top but Nelson keeps moving. Yoon content to stall in guard here. Nelson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Yoon throws a sloppy strike and Nelson has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Yoon is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Nelson!
