Roth shoots in looking for a takedown. Smith tries to sprawl out of it but Roth keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smith manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Roth is defended easily by Smith.

That was a close round but I would say that JanOlov Smith will probably get the nod.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Roth crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Smith - the referee stops the clock and Roth gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Smith. Roth manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Smith counters with a nice double leg into side control. Roth won't be happy with that.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Smith is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Smith thows a huge punch but Roth dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Smith, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
