Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Roger Puncher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mr Young John! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! John has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from John there as he acknowledges the shot. Puncher tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice sprawl there from Puncher as John shoots in. John tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Puncher swivels and escapes. Puncher fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. John looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Puncher connects with the punch. John takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Roger Puncher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good standup being displayed there by Puncher as he connects with a hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! John misses with a body kick. John dodges the punch combination from Puncher.
Puncher displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from John. Roger Puncher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mr Young John. John takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
John's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Puncher connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! John scrambles back to his feet. A nice combination there by Puncher.
Puncher scores with a crisp jab that stopped John in his tracks.
John is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. John takes one to the side of the head.
John is still on wobbly legs! Can Puncher finish him? Puncher is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Puncher shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. John takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Puncher sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! John bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
