Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Trig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Trig!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez fails in his attempt to clinch.

Sanchez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Trig is trying to defend but Sanchez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Trig is pressing down on Sanchez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Sanchez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Trig's guard.
Trig trying to hold on to Sanchez's head to control him but Sanchez postures up.

Trig makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Sanchez listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Sanchez rushes Trig and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Trig has had enough of the clinch but Sanchez keeps him there for the moment.
Sanchez fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Trig prevents a body shot from Sanchez.
Trig has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Sanchez cracks Trig with a nice body shot.

Trig breaks the clinch.
Sanchez moves out of range as Trig throws a body kick.

Trig clinches up against the cage.
Trig is trying to maintain a safe position but Sanchez gets an underhook and turns Trig into the cage.
Sanchez is leaning against Trig and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Trig is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Trig fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Sanchez has hold of one of Trig's legs. Trig is fighting the takedown attempt but Sanchez gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Sanchez wanted to stand there but Trig had control of the position.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Trig keeps moving.
Sanchez won't allow Trig to get back to his feet.

Sanchez is working Trig over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Trig wants to stand and escape but Sanchez is having none of it.

Trig wants to sweep here but Sanchez controlling him for the moment.

Sanchez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Trig looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Trig looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Trig!
Sanchez is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Trig's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanchez is looking for a sweep. Trig is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Trig trying to control from Sanchez's half guard. Sanchez has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Sanchez tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Trig with a flurry of punches that miss.
Sanchez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Trig is looking to work some ground and pound but Sanchez has wrist control.

Sanchez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Trig defends it easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sanchez is on top in guard.

Sanchez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanchez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Trig controls Sanchez momentarily but Sanchez frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight stays on the outside here - Trig looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Trig slaps away a takedown attempt from Sanchez, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sanchez looks for a takedown but Trig sprawls well.

Trig fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sanchez, pushing him back against the cage.
Trig gets underhooks to prevent Sanchez's takedown attempt.

Trig is looking to control Sanchez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Trig avoid being mounted?

Trig has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sanchez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sanchez keeps the fight on the outside.
Trig misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sanchez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Trig's waist but Trig gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sanchez off to one side.

Trig closes the distance and pushes Sanchez back into the cage.

Trig's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sanchez dodges the punch combination from Trig.
Trig tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sanchez paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sanchez gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Trig.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Horrible takedown by Sanchez or perhaps it was just good defense by Trig which made him look bad.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Trig rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sanchez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Diego Sanchez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sanchez dives in and grabs Trig's left leg, looking for a takedown. Trig pushes down on Sanchez's head and hops out.
Trig looks to land a combination. Sanchez sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
No joy there for Trig, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Trig as he jumps to the side.
Frank Trig seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Trig tries to bum rush Sanchez with a series of wild strikes but Sanchez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sanchez on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Trig fails in his attempt to clinch.
Trig throws a jab but it's blocked by Sanchez.
Trig looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Trig gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Sanchez content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Trig is looking to stand up but Sanchez isn't so interested in that idea.

Trig has his foot on Sanchez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sanchez works his way back into a safe position though.

Frank Trig comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Sanchez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
