The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Echobeach instigates a clinch.
Echobeach prevents Schellmann from breaking the clinch.
Schellmann drops down looking for an ankle pick but Echobeach pulls his leg out and moves away.

Echobeach postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Schellmann is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Echobeach, into his guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Schellmann is stalling here. Echobeach is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Schellmann seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Echobeach has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Echobeach tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Echobeach has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Echobeach is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Schellmann knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That was a close second round but I would say that Stefan Schellmann will probably get the nod.

Echobeach is pressed up against the cage. Schellmann has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Echobeach down to the mat. Echobeach avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Stefan Schellmann decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
