Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Young tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Aldo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Young tries to buck Aldo off but Aldo is having none of it. Aldo scoring with punches from side control. Young is working to avoid the ground and pound but Aldo connects with a decent elbow. Young tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Aldo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Aldo decides to stand up, so the ref orders Young to his feet. Aldo throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Young's head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Aldo pushes Young up against the cage in a clinch. Young goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Young successfully pulls guard.
Young controls Aldo momentarily but Aldo frees himself. Aldo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Young is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Young looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aldo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Aldo slips nicely into half guard. Young trying to control but Aldo postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Young is not content to let Aldo control the position. Young keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Young is looking for a sweep. Aldo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Aldo seems to be working for a kimura but Young defends the submission attempt. Aldo is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Aldo stands up out of the half guard. Young throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Aldo. Aldo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Aldo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Aldo is trying to control the action in half guard but Young is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aldo trying to control from Young's half guard. Young has other ideas though and has regained full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Young wants to stand and escape but Aldo is having none of it. Aldo trying to stand up but can't free himself from Young's guard. Young not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Aldo wants to control from the top but Young keeps moving. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Aldo looking to control the position here, rather than advance. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jose Aldo has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Aldo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Young.

Jose Aldo dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Aldo shoots in and bounces Young off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Young is looking for a triangle but Aldo pushes his legs off easily.
Young has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Young has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Aldo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Young. Young is trying to escape the position but Aldo is controlling the position. Aldo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Young can't do much from the bottom here. Aldo tries to advance to mount but can't. Young is pushing Aldo's head away, looking to escape. Aldo manages to hold on to the position though. Young tries to get back to half guard but can't. You can see the frustration on Young's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Aldo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Young is trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aldo wants to control but Young is keeping him busy. Young manages to get back to half guard. Young is trying to stand up here but Aldo is controlling him well. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Aldo in particular looking to stall. Aldo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Young does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Still in half guard, Aldo seems content to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jose Aldo just wasn't active enough. Young pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Young closes the distance and clinches up with Aldo, looking for a takedown. Young pushes Aldo against the cage but Aldo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Aldo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Young to the ground. Aldo is now in Young's guard. Aldo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Young is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Young has escaped and now he's on top! Aldo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Jose Aldo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Aldo wants to get back to his feet but Young is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Young is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Aldo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Aldo has escaped and now he's on top!

Young is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Young throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Aldo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Young swivels though and keeps the full guard. Aldo drops back looking for a leg! Young is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Young manages to kick Aldo off! Aldo jumps back into Young's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jose Aldo dominated that second round. That's time! Aldo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Young is looking to regain half guard here but Aldo keeps moving and retains side control. Aldo trying to control the action but Young is working from the bottom. Aldo tries to move into full mount but can't pass Young's legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aldo decides to stand back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Aldo. Young controls the position for a moment. Young tries to escape but Aldo is in control. Young takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Aldo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Young's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Young is trying to control Aldo's posture but Aldo avoids it. Aldo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Aldo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Aldo tries for a kimura but Young is defending well. Young is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Aldo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Young tries to kick Aldo off but Aldo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aldo is stalling here. Young is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Aldo seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Young has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Aldo tries to buck Young off but Young is having none of it. Aldo struggling a bit here. Aldo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Young wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Aldo sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Young thows a huge punch but Aldo dodges it nicely.

Young thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Aldo's head. Aldo is trying to get back to full guard. Young performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Aldo wants to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Jose Aldo showed his dominance in that final round. Well Aldo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
