Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, James Bain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Harry Burke!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burke lands a nice shot to the body.
Bain shoots in and drives through. Burke sprawls well.
Bain tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Burke counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Bain moves into range and clinches up with Burke.

Burke breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Burke fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bain manages to avoid it.
Burke fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Burke misses with an uppercut.
Burke misses with a right hand

and Bain counters with a shoot takedown. Burke fights it but they end up in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bain lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Burke tries to strike from the bottom.
Bain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Burke swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bain trying to control but Burke is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bain tries to free his leg and advance position but Burke is retaining full guard.
Bain sitting in guard here, content to control.
Bain is standing up over Burke. Burke looks to escape but Bain dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Burke takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bain taking a breather here.
Bain in side control, throwing shots but Burke defends.
Burke is trying to control Bain's posture but Bain avoids it.
Sloppy strikes there by Bain.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bain just content to control the position.

Bain has an Americana. Burke didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Bain is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bain hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). James Bain!
In his post fight interview, James Bain started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
