The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab from Polk.
Stamkos misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Polk lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Polk avoids a punch combination nicely.
Polk scores with a nice strike.
Stamkos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Polk sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stamkos somewhat.
Polk circles away from the clinch attempt
letting Polk counter with a right hand.
Polk stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Polk wants it to stay on the feet.
Polk works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Stamkos tries to bum rush Polk with a series of wild strikes but Polk uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Alexander Stamkos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stamkos fails with a takedown attempt.
James Polk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Stamkos.
Stamkos swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Polk counters with a nice uppercut.
Stamkos pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stamkos shoots in and drives through. Polk sprawls well.
Polk scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Stamkos is looking to clinch.
Polk lands a glancing blow to the side of Stamkos's head.
Stamkos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Polk lands a nice shot that snaps Stamkos's head back.
Stamkos fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Stamkos looks winded!
Polk lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Stamkos looks to throw the jab but Polk is out of range.
Polk stuns Stamkos with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A right-left combo lands from Polk.
Polk wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Stamkos tries to clinch there but Polk circles away.
Stamkos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Polk uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Polk scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stamkos doesn't seem bothered though.
Stamkos takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Polk scores with a one two! Stamkos had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Stamkos is rocked!

Polk listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Stamkos is still on wobbly legs! Can Polk finish him?
Polk moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Polk scores with a nice right hand.
Polk lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Polk cracks Stamkos on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Stamkos falls backwards against the cage. Polk follows up with more strikes that drop Stamkos to his knees. Polk keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Stamkos! This one is all over!
