Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Travis Lirette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chapa Coco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lirette comes to the cage accompanied by Right Above It. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Travis Lirette! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chapa Coco! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lirette gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Coco counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lirette! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Lirette manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Lirette is trying to control but can't.

Lirette utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lirette looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Coco is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Lirette has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Coco can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lirette controls Coco momentarily but Coco frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coco trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Coco is working Lirette over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Coco throws a big right hand that misses. Coco throws a big elbow that misses. Lirette is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lirette is breathing heavily. Coco trying to control the position from guard on top but Lirette is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Coco with a flurry of punches that miss. Lirette looking for a guillotine here but Coco defends easily.
Coco must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Coco avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Coco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lirette swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coco got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lirette has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Coco has managed to get both his arms back between Lirette's legs - danger averted. Lirette preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lirette working for a triangle but Coco defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Coco postures up in Lirette's guard and throws a big left but Lirette blocks it. Coco is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Lirette has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Coco is looking to defend but Lirette has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Coco! Lirette pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Coco taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Travis Lirette! A relieved looking Travis Lirette thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
