Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Atkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Atkin has chosen she's a lady as his entrance music. Chuck Liddel has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chuck Liddel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Atkin! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Liddel with that takedown attempt. Liddel throws a head kick but Atkin moves out of range.
Liddel misses with a series of wild punches.

Atkin sends Liddel crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Atkin is motioning to the referee to let Liddel up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Atkin moves into the clinch. Atkin dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Atkin lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Liddel or not. Atkin breaks the clinch.
Liddel dives in for a single leg takedown but Atkin sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Liddel takes an elbow to the temple. Liddel managing to block the knees to the body from Atkin.

That's one minute gone in the round. Atkin lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Nice elbow from Atkin. Liddel tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chuck Liddel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Liddel has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Atkin creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Liddel's defenses. Atkin keeps control of Liddel as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Liddel takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Chuck Liddel has been cut. Come on Atkin - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Atkin lands an elbow that stopped Liddel in his tracks for a moment. Liddel is trying to force a seperation but Atkin has the dominant position. Atkin throws an elbow but it misses.
Atkin tries to land knees in the clinch but Liddel avoids the damage to the body. Liddel swings wildly with an uppercut but Atkin uses good head movement to avoid it. Atkin lands an elbow inside.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Liddel misses with a short punch on the inside. Liddel working hard to break the clinch. Atkin pressing his opponent against the cage. Atkin lands an elbow inside that Liddel shrugs off. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Atkin lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Atkin with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Liddel is trying to break free. Atkin stalling against the cage.
Liddel looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Atkin keeps control of Liddel as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stalling in the clinch from Atkin.
Atkin looks to throw an elbow but misses. Liddel is trying to break the clinch but Atkin is controlling him. Liddel is trying to force a seperation but Atkin has the dominant position. Atkin controlling the action here for a moment.
Atkin continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Nice elbow from Atkin. Liddel working hard to break the clinch. Atkin softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Still in the clinch, Atkin scores with a nice short uppercut. Atkin works on Liddel's body with a couple of short punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Liddel tries to circle away but Atkin has him pinned against the cage. Atkin stalling.
Atkin lands an elbow that stopped Liddel in his tracks for a moment. Atkin throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Liddels head. Liddel working hard to break the clinch. Liddel throws a punch but it's blocked by Atkin. This has been an exciting period of action! A frustrated look appears on Liddel's face as he tries to break the clinch. Nice elbow from Atkin. Liddel tries to break the clinch but Atkin is controlling the position. Atkin with a knee to the head.
Liddel is rocked! A nice right hand lands inside from Liddel. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Atkin is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Liddel is defending well for now. Atkin lands an elbow just above Liddel 's eye. A short uppercut from Atkin. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Atkin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chuck Liddel's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Liddel shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Liddel was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Atkin is looking for a sweep. Atkin wants to control but Liddel postures up. Atkin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Liddel wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Liddel looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Atkin is avoiding damage well.
Liddel in side control, throwing shots but Atkin defends. Check out the look on Liddel's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
It looks like Lee Atkin has been cut. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Atkin can do anything to dispel that myth. Liddel thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Atkin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Liddel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Liddel is putting a hurting on Atkin here, landing some big shots from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Liddel fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Liddel trying to control the action but Atkin is working from the bottom. Liddel moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Liddel works to advance to full mount. Atkin defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Liddel connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Liddel lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Liddel controlling his opponent. Liddel scoring with strikes but Atkin is staying in there.
The cut above Lee Atkin's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Lee Atkin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Chuck Liddel!
