PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robinson Crusoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior De Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crusoe shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in De Silva's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Crusoe working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
De Silva utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
De Silva wants to stand and escape but Crusoe is having none of it.

Crusoe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Crusoe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
De Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crusoe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Crusoe stops De Silva from standing up.
Crusoe cracks De Silva with a solid left hand.

De Silva wants to get back to his feet but Crusoe is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Crusoe slips nicely into half guard.
Crusoe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but De Silva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crusoe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed De Silva's head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

De Silva's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
