Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lelouch Laperouge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Let The Bodies Hit The Floor. Joseph Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Joseph Jones!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones tries to sprawl but Laperouge drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Laperouge wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it.
Jones on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Jones is trying to stand.

Laperouge stands up and beckons Jones to join him on the feet.
Laperouge fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Laperouge swats him away and circles back towards the center.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Laperouge misses the shot to the body.
Jones takes a jab right on the kisser.
Laperouge throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jones on the side of the head.
A combination from Laperouge does no damage.
Laperouge throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jones tries to clinch up but Laperouge circles away and keeps his distance.
Laperouge keeps the fight on the outside.
Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Laperouge.
Crunch! Jones slams his shin into Laperouge's torso.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones walks into a stiff left hand from Laperouge.
Laperouge digs a good hook to Jones's body.
The crowd cheers as Laperouge lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jones doesn't seem phased though.
Lelouch Laperouge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Jones darts in and clinches Laperouge up against the cage.

Laperouge breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Laperouge lands with a good body shot.
Jones looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Laperouge motions for Jones to come forward. Laperouge throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A combination from Laperouge does no damage.
Laperouge blocks a head kick by Jones.
Laperouge throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Jones moves in looking to clinch but Laperouge pushes him off.
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones looks to land a left hand but Laperouge moved out of range nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Laperouge gets the takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Laperouge tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Laperouge has an Americana. Jones didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Laperouge is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Laperouge hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Lelouch Laperouge bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
