PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Timy Tiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Chester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tiger has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Tim Chester will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tiger has closed the distance and engaged Chester in a clinch.
Chester is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Tiger to keep the fight standing.
Chester trying to control the position but instead, Tiger has worked for underhooks and has pushed Chester into the cage.
Chester wants a takedown.
Tiger lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Chester is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Chester - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Tiger lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Tiger swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Chester is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Tiger throws a punch but it's blocked by Chester.

Chester drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Tiger gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Chester tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tiger just stands there and leans against the cage.

Chester fails with the takedown
and Tiger counters with an inside leg kick.
Tim Chester is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tiger. Chester does a little dance to reset his feet.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Chester, as that shot connected.
Tiger swings for the body but Chester moves out of range.
Chester tries to clinch but Tiger is having none of it.
Chester uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tiger.
Nice takedown defense from Tiger. No joy for Chester on that attempt.
Chester misses with a takedown attempt - Tiger sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Chester gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Chester shoots for a double leg takedown but Tiger sprawls well. He's pushed Chester's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Tiger fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chester manages to avoid it.
Chester looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Chester takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Chester jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tiger walks away with a smile on his face. Chester gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chester takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Well Tiger has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
