Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stanislaw Odklepacz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Sloan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jared Sloan!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Odklepacz.
Odklepacz waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sloan.
Odklepacz misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sloan.
Sloan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Odklepacz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sloan somewhat.

Sloan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Odklepacz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sloan is in Odklepacz's guard.
Sloan looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Sloan won't allow Odklepacz to get back to his feet.
Odklepacz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sloan on the ground.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jared Sloan wasn't active enough on the ground.
Odklepacz swings for the body but Sloan moves out of range.
Odklepacz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sloan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Odklepacz thows a left - swing and a miss!

Sloan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Odklepacz was covering up waiting for the punch and Sloan finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sloan pushing down on Odklepacz's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Sloan content to control rather than advance.

Sloan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sloan in particular looking to stall.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jared Sloan wasn't active enough on the ground.
Odklepacz misses with a low kick.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Sloan has eaten all the pies!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Odklepacz lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sloan has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sloan and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Stanislaw Odklepacz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sloan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Odklepacz's half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Sloan passes to full mount!

Sloan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Odklepacz to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Odklepacz shrugs it off.
Sloan lands a big shot there that rocks Odklepacz but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

It looks like Sloan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sloan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sloan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Odklepacz tries to avoid it but Sloan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Odklepacz to the ground. Odklepacz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Odklepacz tries to score with a low kick but Sloan moves his leg out of the way.
Stanislaw Odklepacz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sloan avoids the head kick by Odklepacz.
Odklepacz misses with a straight left.

Sloan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sloan lands in his opponent's guard.
Sloan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jared Sloan.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Sloan pushes Odklepacz up against the cage in a clinch.

Sloan lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Sloan wants to free his trapped foot but Odklepacz is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Odklepacz is trying to stand.
Sloan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Odklepacz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Well, if Sloan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

A swing and a miss from Odklepacz.

Odklepacz throws an overhand right that lands on Sloan's shoulder, as Sloan tries to avoid the shot.
Odklepacz throws a shot from downtown. Sloan moves away and avoids it.

Sloan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jared Sloan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Sloan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Odklepacz looks like he's trying to stand up.

Odklepacz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sloan circles away quickly and effectively.
Sloan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Odklepacz sprawls well. Odklepacz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sloan gets slowly back to his feet.

Odklepacz lands a left and a right that send Sloan crashing to the mat, dazed. Odklepacz thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Jared Sloan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Sloan seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
