Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robert Glenn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Kuoppala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glenn comes into the arena with Say It Aint So by Weezer blaring out of the sound system. Kuoppala is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Children of Bodom - Warheart. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alexander Kuoppala!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kuoppala closes the distance and clinches.
Glenn drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kuoppala pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kuoppala tries to clinch up but Glenn circles away and keeps his distance.
Alexander Kuoppala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kuoppala uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Glenn has time to react.

Kuoppala takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Glenn fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Kuoppala uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Glenn.

and Glenn counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kuoppala won't be happy with that.

Glenn is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kuoppala knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Kuoppala tries to roll over but Glenn keeps him under control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Glenn sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

That was a close round but I would say that Robert Glenn will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Glenn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kuoppala swivels and escapes.

Kuoppala gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kuoppala stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Glenn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Kuoppala connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Glenn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kuoppala sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Glenn somewhat.

Glenn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kuoppala sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Glenn shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Alexander Kuoppala showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Kuoppala fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Glenn has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Oh Glenn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kuoppala scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Glenn doesn't seem bothered though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Glenn swings for the body but Kuoppala moves out of range.
Kuoppala explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Glenn seems to have got his legs back now.
Kuoppala scores with a knee to the head.
Kuoppala misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Glenn.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kuoppala tries a knee to the head but Glenn blocks it.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kuoppala as Glenn tries to tie him up.

Glenn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kuoppala walks away with a smile on his face. Glenn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Glenn has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kuoppala finds it's way round the side to connect with Glenn's head.
Nice takedown defense from Kuoppala. No joy for Glenn on that attempt.
Glenn takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kuoppala fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kuoppala takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Kuoppala is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Glenn rather than just go for the knockout.
Kuoppala lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Glenn falls backwards - clearly groggy! Kuoppala dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Kuoppala!
