Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johan Axelsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Blundell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Axelsson comes to the cage accompanied by Petter - Det går bra nu. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johan Axelsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ryan Blundell! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blundell loads up on a big right hand but Axelsson slips the punch. Axelsson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Blundell. Blundell pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Blundell defending well as Axelsson loads up on a big left hand. Nice jab there from Blundell.
It looks like Johan Axelsson has been cut. Blundell throws a jab but it's blocked by Axelsson. Blundell throws the left hand but Axelsson avoids the punch easily. Axelsson misses the jab. Axelsson defending well as Blundell loads up on a big left hand. Blundell misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Axelsson.

That's one minute gone in the round. Axelsson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Blundell lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Axelsson getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Blundell throws a shot from downtown. Axelsson moves away and avoids it. Blundell swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Blundell throws out a loose jab but Axelsson uses good head movement to avoid it. Axelsson throws a body punch but Blundell moves out of range. Axelsson takes a jab right on the kisser.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Axelsson shoots in but Blundell avoids the takedown attempt easily. Good standup being displayed there by Axelsson as he connects with a hook. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Blundell gets a clinch. Axelsson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Axelsson counters with a single leg into guard. Blundell didn't expect that. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Axelsson trying to control the position from guard on top but Blundell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Axelsson stops Blundell from standing up. Axelsson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Blundell wants to stand up but Axelsson is controlling him. Blundell is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Johan Axelsson. Axelsson dives in and scores a takedown into Blundell's guard. Axelsson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blundell swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Axelsson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blundell is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Axelsson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Axelsson wants to control from the top but Blundell keeps moving. Blundell wants to get back to his feet but Axelsson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Axelsson forces his way into half guard. Axelsson is looking to advance position but Blundell won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Johan Axelsson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Johan Axelsson's cut. That's time! Axelsson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Axelsson tries to close the distance and clinch but Blundell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A swing and a miss from Blundell. Blundell misses with a wild combination.
A left lands for Blundell. Blundell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Axelsson.
Blundell lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Axelsson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Blundell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's one minute gone in the round. Axelsson throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Blundell works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Axelsson throwing shots but Blundell is blocking nicely. Blundell tries to kick Axelsson off but Axelsson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Axelsson wants to control but Blundell is keeping him busy. Axelsson wants to pass to mount but Blundell is defending the position. Blundell is looking to escape. Axelsson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Blundell doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Axelsson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Axelsson is looking for a kimura but Blundell is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Axelsson to get the leverage. Axelsson is trying to control the action in half guard but Blundell is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Axelsson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Blundell has managed to free his arm - good work. Blundell is trying to stand.
Blundell taking some punishment here, with Axelsson in his half guard. Johan Axelsson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Axelsson passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Axelsson wants to control the pace but Blundell is squirming around nicely. You get the feeling that Blundell really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Axelsson wants to finish this one by submission but Blundell is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Axelsson. Blundell is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Axelsson misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Axelsson content just to control the position here. Blundell's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Axelsson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Blundell can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Axelsson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Blundell is in a horrible position here. Axelsson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Axelsson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Axelsson tries to keep at a distance but Blundell has taken the fight into the clinch. Axelsson prevents a body shot from Blundell. Blundell avoids the elbow strike from Axelsson, against the cage.
Blundell wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Axelsson has him pressed against the cage. A nice right hand lands inside from Axelsson. Axelsson tries to break the clinch but Blundell is controlling the position.

Axelsson is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. A short right from Axelsson on the inside. Axelsson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Blundell to keep the fight standing. Axelsson wants the takedown. Blundell is fighting it off but Axelsson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Blundell's guard against the cage. Axelsson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Blundell's guard. Blundell won't allow Axelsson to pass to mount. Blundell is looking to escape. Axelsson is keen to just control but Blundell is a slippery customer. Blundell is trying to stand up here but Axelsson is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Axelsson lands a nice short elbow. Axelsson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blundell keeps working. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Axelsson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Blundell is trying to stand.

Axelsson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Axelsson is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Blundell still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Blundell has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Ryan Blundell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Johan Axelsson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Blundell is working Axelsson over with some ground and pound from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Axelsson looks to move to half guard but instead Blundell has passed into mount! Damn! Blundell wants to get back to his feet but Axelsson is holding on tight.
Axelsson tries to hold on but Blundell postures up. Axelsson holds on to Blundell around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks. Axelsson is desperately trying to improve his position but Blundell has a good base and remains in mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Blundell throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
And that's the end of the fight! Johan Axelsson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Axelsson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Johan Axelsson! A very excited looking Johan Axelsson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
