Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zach Hits!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Turner!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hits throws a right and a left that Turner avoids nicely.
Hits tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Danga de danga de dang - Turner scores with a four punch combination!
Turner wants to clinch.
Zach Hits seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hits closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Turner to the mat! Turner manages to get full guard.
Turner lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hits!
Turner trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Hits tries to improve his position but instead Turner has taken his back!
Hits is trying to stand back up.
Hits covering up well under a barage of strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Turner has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Hits's body.
Turner tries to keep control of the position but Hits is staying busy.

Turner is looking for the choke from the back position but Hits is controlling his hands well.
Hits is trying to stand back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Turner somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Hits is in bad spot here.
Hits is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Hits is breathing heavily.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Turner controlling the positon.
Turner throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.

Turner tries to keep control of the position but Hits is staying busy.
Hits has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Turner tightening his grip on Hits, looking for the choke.
Will Turner go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hits tries to roll but Turner sticks to his back.
Turner scores with punches and elbows.
Turner lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Hits hold on?!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Turner controlling from the back.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Hits looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Turner is fending him off so far but Hits persists. Nope, Turner circles away and we're back to standing.
Hits swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Turner counters with a big head kick but Hits shrugs it off.
Hits is looking to land body kicks.

Turner closes the distance and clinches.

Hits breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hits swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Turner counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Turner has managed to clinch.
Turner landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Turner breaks from the clinch.
Hits is looking to clinch but Turner is avoiding it.
Hits misses with a takedown attempt
and Turner counters with a stiff right hand.

Turner drives through and clinches with Hits against the cage.
Turner prevents the takedown attempt.

Turner moves in looking to clinch but Hits pushes him off.
Hits swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Turner is looking to control Hits's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Turner avoid being mounted?
Hits tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Turner.
Turner slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Turner trying to keep a closed guard but Hits is proving a slippery customer.
Turner working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hits.
Turner wants to stand and escape but Hits is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hits.
Hits swats away the attempt to clinch by Turner.
Zach Hits is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hits tries to keep at a distance but Turner has taken the fight into the clinch.
Turner gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hits.

Hits shoots in for a double leg but Turner sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Turner counters with a nice body shot.
Hits falls off balance throwing a combination
and Turner counters with a nice leg kick.
Hits fails to land with a series of punches.

Hits looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Hits thows a huge punch but Turner dodges it nicely.

Hits postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Turner to stand up.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Turner shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hits as he jumps to the side.
Hits swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Turner counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Turner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hits.

Hits swinging wilding here.
Turner fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hits doesn't manage to clinch there - Turner circles away.
Hits throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Turner lands a nice shot to the body.

Turner gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Hits tries to break the clinch but Turner is controlling the position.
Turner throws a knee to the head but misses.
Turner wants to stall.

Turner is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hits is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Turner to the mat. Turner regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hits trying to control but Turner is working from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Mike Turner will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Hits shoots in but Turner avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hits shoots in for a takedown but Turner shows good takedown defense.

Turner avoids a punch combination nicely.

It looks like Zach Hits has been cut.
Hits on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Oh Hits is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Turner counters with a slapping leg kick.
Hits tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Turner paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hits seems to have got his legs back now.

and Turner counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Hits drops down looking for an ankle pick but Turner pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Turner counters with a three punch combo that has Hits backing up. Hits nods at Turner to acknowledge the strikes.
Hits tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Turner paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Turner lands a front kick.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Hits looks to land a combination but Turner avoids it well.
Turner tries to clinch but Hits moves out of range.
Hits swats away the attempt to clinch by Turner.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Turner. Hits shrugs it off though.
Hits has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Turner stuffs the takedown attempt from Hits. Hits gets slowly back to his feet.

Turner feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hits wants to stand but Turner is controlling the position.
Hits is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Turner dives into side control.

Turner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hits is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hits is looking to regain half guard here but Turner keeps moving and retains side control.
Hits being controlled for a moment.
Hits is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Turner is controlling him well.

You can see the frustration on Hits's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hits throws a left and a right that both miss

and Turner holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Turner scores with a shoulder strike.

Turner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Turner sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Turner tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Turner throws a series of strikes that have Hits backpedaling.

Hits is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Hits changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Turner fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hits swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Turner darts in and clinches Hits up against the cage.

Turner manages to break the clinch.

Turner fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hits, pushing him back against the cage.
Hits wants to break the clinch but can't.
Hits wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Hits drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Turner connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Turner rushes Hits and presses him up against the cage.
Turner lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Hits misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Turner.

Mike Turner seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Hits scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Hits lands with a punch from half guard.
Zach Hits has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Turner is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hits scores with a couple of nice shots.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mike Turner comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Turner winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
