The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reader avoids the head kick by Sakubaba.
Sakubaba is breathing heavily.
Reader drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sakubaba is working an open guard so Reader takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Reader shoots in looking for a takedown. Sakubaba tries to sprawl out of it but Reader keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sakubaba manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sakubaba pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Reader fails with the takedown.
Reader closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sakubaba circles away.
Manny Sakubaba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hide Reader.
Reader keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Reader shoots in for a double leg but Sakubaba sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A head kick misses from Sakubaba.
Reader shoots for a takedown but Sakubaba saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Reader avoids a kick to the body.
Reader feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Reader trying to control the position but Sakubaba is working away.
Reader is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Sakubaba is trying to escape and Reader transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Sakubaba is forced to tap! Nice work there by Reader! Very nice indeed!
