Lesner comes to the cage accompanied by Enter Sandman. Lyes Badaoui has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Brock Lesner's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badaoui connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Brock Lesner has been cut.
Badaoui lands a head shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lesner drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Lesner throws a strike aimed at the side of Badaoui's head but Badaoui avoids it well.

Lesner tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lesner has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lesner tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lesner is pulling down on Badaoui's head. It's preventing any offense from Badaoui, at least for the moment.
Badaoui keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lesner's head.

Badaoui throws out a powerful jab.
Badaoui cracks Lesner with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Lesner tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Badaoui pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Lesner is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
