Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dakota Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randall Flagg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flagg has chosen The Platters - Twilight Time as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dakota Brooks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Randall Flagg!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Flagg.
Brooks has a takedown stuffed.
Brooks tries to clinch up but Flagg circles away and keeps his distance.

Brooks fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Flagg, pushing him back against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Flagg.
Flagg with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Brooks breaks the clinch.
Brooks tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flagg swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Brooks tries to clinch there but Flagg circles away.
Flagg swats away the attempt to clinch by Brooks.

Flagg avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Flagg lands a knee to the body.
Flagg throws a punch but it's blocked by Brooks.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Brooks is looking to clinch but Flagg is avoiding it.
Dakota Brooks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flagg pushes Brooks away with a front kick.
Flagg ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brooks moves away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Flagg tries a knee to the head but Brooks blocks it.
Brooks is leaning against Flagg and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dakota Brooks dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Brooks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Flagg tries to avoid it but Brooks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Flagg to the ground. Flagg escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Brooks tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Flagg manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brooks scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Brooks sends Flagg crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Brooks is motioning to the referee to let Flagg up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Brooks wants to clinch up but Flagg keeps it at a distance.
Flagg is still on wobbly legs! Can Brooks finish him?

Brooks shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Flagg manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Flagg seems to have recovered his senses.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Dakota Brooks just wasn't active enough.

and Flagg counters with a low kick, right behind Brooks 's knee.
Flagg dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Brooks. That did some damage!
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Flagg in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Brooks lands a nice shot that snaps Flagg's head back.

We're going to have a standup here because Dakota Brooks wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Flagg takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Flagg takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Brooks shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nice uppercut lands for Brooks. That snapped Flagg's head back.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Brooks jumps guard but Flagg stands there with Brooks around his waist. Brooks gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Brooks is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Flagg can do to turn this around?

Brooks stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Brooks is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Flagg is defending well for now.

Brooks lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Flagg backwards.

Brooks has clasped his hands together around Flagg's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Brooks tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brooks has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Brooks decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Brooks is looking to advance position but Flagg won't allow it.
Flagg is staying active underneath Brooks, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brooks is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Brooks lands a nice shot to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brooks trying to control but Flagg is having none of it.
Dakota Brooks is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Brooks is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
