The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robinson on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Ortega looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Ortega instigates a clinch.

Ortega ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ortega no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Robinson tries to stand but Ortega is controlling from the bottom.

Robinson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Robinson connects with a nice short shot to Ortega's temple.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Samuel Robinson.
Robinson closes the distance and clinches up with Ortega, looking for a takedown. Robinson pushes Ortega against the cage but Ortega circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Robinson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ortega sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Robinson somewhat.

Ortega shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Robinson is trying to defend but Ortega finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Robinson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ortega walks away with a smile on his face. Robinson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Ortega counters by moving into the clinch.

Ortega wants the takedown. Robinson is fighting it off but Ortega persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Robinson's guard against the cage.
Ortega wants to stand but Robinson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Ortega throws an elbow that misses. Robinson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ortega's guard. Nice move by Robinson!

Ortega has left one of his arms exposed and Robinson doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Ortega screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
