Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bob Jo Wayne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shock Zhou!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhou keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zhou pushes Wayne up against the cage in a clinch.
Wayne taking a breather.
Wayne drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Zhou gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Zhou stops a takedown attempt from Wayne.
Zhou is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Wayne tries to pull guard but Zhou won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Jo Wayne. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zhou gets underhooks to prevent Wayne's takedown attempt.
Wayne wants a takedown.
Wayne blocks an uppercut.
Zhou wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Zhou tries to break free but Wayne pushes him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Zhou wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Zhou pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Zhou lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wayne has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wayne and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Wayne fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Zhou drops Wayne with a beautiful combination! Wayne stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Zhou is looking for the KO!
It looks like Bob Jo Wayne has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zhou connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Wayne momentarily.
Wayne is rocked!
Zhou rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wayne moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Oh Wayne is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zhou lands a big right hook! Wayne looks hurt but is still standing! Zhou lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Wayne falls down and Zhou dives in with a huge hammer fist! Wayne's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Zhou runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Shock Zhou!
