The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knockov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Doyle manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Knockov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Knockov lands a really nice looking cross but Doyle seems unphased.
It looks like Paddy Doyle has been cut.
Doyle tries to bum rush Knockov with a series of wild strikes but Knockov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Doyle will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Doyle tries to clinch but Knockov is having none of it.
Doyle shoots in for a takedown but Knockov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Knockov forces Doyle back against the cage and clinches.
Nice body punch from Knockov - that landed with a thud.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Knockov takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Doyle jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Knockov walks away with a smile on his face. Doyle gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Knockov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Knockov drives through and clinches with Doyle against the cage.
Doyle jumps guard but Knockov stands there with Doyle around his waist. Doyle gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Doyle wants a takedown but no success here.

Doyle pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Knockov darts in and clinches Doyle up against the cage.
Doyle jumps guard but Knockov turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Knockov gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Knockov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee is keeping an eye on Knockov - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Doyle wants to break the clinch but can't.
Knockov prevents Doyle from breaking the clinch.
Doyle tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Doyle drops down looking for an ankle pick but Knockov pulls his leg out and moves away.
Doyle is breathing heavily.
Knockov closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Doyle out cold! Doyle corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
