Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carnell Neff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carnell Neff told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Tyler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carnell Neff!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyler avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Neff has closed the distance and engaged Tyler in a clinch.
Tyler is looking to break free of the clinch but Neff has double underhooks.
Tyler tries to circle away but Neff has him pinned against the cage.
Neff pulls Tyler into guard.
Neff looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tyler is one step ahead there.
Tyler has gone for a leg lock! Neff slips out almost immediately though and dives into Tyler's guard.

Tyler working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Neff has passed into half guard!

Neff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tyler keeps working.
Neff is nestled in close to Tyler, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Tyler has hold of Neff's hands but Neff slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Neff working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Neff connects with a nice short shot to Tyler's temple.
Neff passes to side control.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Neff is putting a hurting on Tyler here, landing some big shots from side control.
Neff lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Neff tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Tyler is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Neff has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Tyler!
Tyler takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Neff scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Neff lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Tyler is breathing heavily.
Neff is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tyler can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The referee warns Tyler that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Neff lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Neff is landing with some decent strikes but Tyler is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
BOOM! Neff connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Tyler is rocked!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carnell Neff dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Neff shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tyler's guard.
Tyler seems to have got his legs back now.
Neff makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Neff wants to stand but Tyler is controlling his posture from full guard.
Neff wants to control from the top but Tyler keeps moving.
Tyler throws his legs up looking for a submission but Neff uses it to pass to side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Neff cracks Tyler with a big right hand but Tyler just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Carnell Neff has got the better of the ground game so far.

Neff lands a nice forearm strike.
Tyler gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Neff passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Tyler!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
BOOM! Neff connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Neff cracks Tyler with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
