Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Cousteau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Lawless (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lawless shoots in and gets a takedown into Cousteau's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Lawless with a flurry of punches that miss. Cousteau is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Lawless throws a big elbow that misses. Lawless working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cousteau utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Cousteau pulls Lawless in close to prevent any damage. Lawless really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cousteau. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lawless throwing strikes from guard but Cousteau blocks nicely. Cousteau is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
