Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raje Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raje Malapitan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mick Penn!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn misses with a right hand
and Malapitan counters with a one-two to the body.
Penn throws a body punch but Malapitan moves out of range.
Mick Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Penn throws a lazy uppercut
and Malapitan counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Penn throws a jab but it's blocked by Malapitan.
Malapitan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Penn looks for a takedown but Malapitan sprawls well.
Penn misses with a right hand
enabling Malapitan to counter with a crisp jab.
Malapitan staying out of range there.
Penn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Malapitan lands a jab to Penn's midsection.
Malapitan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Penn.
Penn throws a body punch but Malapitan moves out of range.

Penn pushes Malapitan up against the cage in a clinch.

Malapitan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Penn pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Malapitan has picked Penn up - he's going for a ride! Malapitan dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Malapitan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Malapitan is just content to waste time from the top position. Penn takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Malapitan is on top in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Penn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Penn rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Malapitan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Penn throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Malapitan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Malapitan.

Penn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Malapitan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mick Penn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Penn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
