The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fire fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A head kick from Miller lands but Fire takes it in his stride.
Fire misses with a takedown attempt - Miller sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Miller is pressed up against the cage. Fire has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Miller down to the mat. Miller avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Fire shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Miller as he avoids it easily.

Fire goes for a takedown attempt but Miller pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Fire shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Miller pinned against the cage. Miller gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tommy Fire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
