Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zack Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Coveny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coveny has chosen George Thorogood - Bad to the bone as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myers takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
It looks like Zack Myers has been cut.
Myers shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Coveny defends it nicely.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Myers.
Coveny punishes Myers's body with a nice straight punch.
Coveny lands a slapping body shot.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Coveny enables Myers to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Coveny manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Myers drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Coveny manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Myers has Coveny in his guard.
Myers looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Coveny has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Myers is proving hard to escape from.
Myers is looking to cinch up a triangle. Coveny throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Myers's body to avoid the submission. Myers has instead reached around Coveny's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Myers arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Zack Myers!
