Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rolando Souto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amir Subdollah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Souto's entrance music is Jorge Quintero - 300 violin orchestra. A fine choice. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rolando Souto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Amir Subdollah!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souto misses with a jab, cross combination.
Subdollah fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Subdollah misses with a kick to the body.
Souto fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Souto throws a leg kick
and Subdollah counters with a slapping leg kick.
Souto drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Souto tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Souto has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Souto is looking to take a break and control but Subdollah is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Souto shoots in looking for a takedown. Subdollah tries to sprawl out of it but Souto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Subdollah manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Souto will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Subdollah lands a nice leg kick that just misses Souto's sensitive parts.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rolando Souto will probably get the nod.

Subdollah dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Souto. That did some damage!

Souto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Subdollah pinned against the cage. Subdollah gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rolando Souto is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Subdollah will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
