Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Cortega does no damage.
Sullivan lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Sullivan darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Sullivan misses with a looping left.
Sullivan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cortega.
Cortega misses with a double jab.
Sullivan throws the kick towards the body but Cortega avoids it.
A punch combination from Cortega misses.
Cortega moves into the clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Cortega throws an elbow but misses.

Cortega escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sullivan has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cortega closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cortega lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Sullivan has his foot on Cortega's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cortega works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sullivan pushes a forearm under Cortega's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Cortega is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Walter Sullivan tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
