Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rafal Arsic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Di Scola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Martin Di Scola! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Di Scola closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Arsic lands a nice elbow. Di Scola misses with a hook to the ribs.
Di Scola wants a takedown but no success here.
Di Scola has clasped his hands together around Arsic's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Arsic regains half guard, as Di Scola was trying to land strikes. Arsic is looking to improve his position.

We're going to have a standup here because Rafal Arsic wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Di Scola swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Arsic clinches up with Di Scola and pushes him back against the cage. Di Scola goes for a takedown attempt but Arsic pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Arsic misses with an elbow over the top. Di Scola is working for takedown but Arsic is calmly controlling the position for now. Rafal Arsic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martin Di Scola. Arsic lands a nice elbow. Arsic looks to throw an elbow but misses. Di Scola avoids the elbow strike from Arsic, against the cage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Arsic keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Di Scola missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Arsic wants to control but Di Scola is keeping busy.

A close round but Martin Di Scola will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Arsic closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Arsic comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Arsic has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Di Scola clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Di Scola looking very determined here, making life difficult for Arsic.
I really don't envy Di Scola right now.
Will Arsic go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Arsic has the hooks in. Di Scola is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Di Scola is trying to stand. He's onto all fours with Arsic on his back. Arsic looks like he's slipping off but he's actually tansitioning to a beautiful armbar! Di Scola has to tap out to a very impressive submission!
