Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roger Wabbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel has chosen Ain't No Sunshine as his entrance music. Roger Wabbit had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roger Wabbit! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Steel! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wabbit lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Wabbit looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Wabbit shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nice defenses there by Wabbit. Steel connects with the punch. Sloppy strikes from Wabbit. Those never looked like landing. Wabbit takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Wabbit pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Wabbit stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wabbit throws out a loose jab but Steel uses good head movement to avoid it. Steel checks the leg kick. Steel misses with a looping left. A looping hook to the body misses from Wabbit. Steel does a little dance to reset his feet. Steel throws a series of strikes that have Wabbit backpedaling.
Wabbit slips a jab from Steel. Wabbit throws a leg kick but Steel checks it. A jab lands there for Steel. Wabbit moves out of range of the strikes. Steel misses the jab. Wabbit swings for the body but Steel moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel throws a hook to the side of Wabbit's head but Wabbit sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A telegraphed right hand from Wabbit misses the target. Steel misses with a looping left. Wabbit misses with a wild combination.
Wabbit takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Wabbit looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Steel! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steel taking a bit of punishment here - Wabbit scoring with strikes. Steel is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Wabbit has just dragged him back down to the mat. Steel is trying to control Wabbit's posture but Wabbit avoids it. Steel is trying to get back to his feet. Wabbit is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Steel's shoulder. That is not cool. Wabbit in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. What's Steel going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wabbit tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. You can see the frustration on Steel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Steel is trying to buck Wabbit off. Wabbit tries to score with some ground and pound. Steel controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Wabbit is staying tight to Steel's torso, preventing him from escaping. Steel is pushing Wabbit's head away, looking to escape. Wabbit manages to hold on to the position though. Wabbit working the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wabbit scores with punches from side control. Wabbit tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. The ground and pound from Wabbit seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Steel felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Wabbit throws an elbow but Steel slips to the side and avoids it well. Steel is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Wabbit working away. Wabbit trying to control the action but Steel is working from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Steel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Steel tries to buck Wabbit off but Wabbit is having none of it. Steel is trying to control Wabbit's posture but Wabbit avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wabbit moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Wabbit trying to control the action but Steel is working from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Wabbit attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Alex Steel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wabbit digs a good body shot into Steel's ribs. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wabbit fails in his attempt to clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Steel bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Wabbit's head. Wabbit lands with a good body shot. Wabbit shoots in for a double leg but Steel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Roger Wabbit will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Steel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wabbit. Steel slips under a jab from Wabbit. Steel throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wabbit sees it coming and avoids it easily. Steel avoids the body shot from Wabbit.

and Wabbit counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Wabbit lands a couple of decent looking shots. Wabbit has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wabbit trying to control the position from guard on top but Steel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wabbit throwing strikes but missing. Wabbit wants to control from the top but Steel keeps moving. Wabbit slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Steel keeping moving, preventing Wabbit from controlling successfully. Wabbit is looking to work some ground and pound but Steel has wrist control. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wabbit's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Wabbit trying to control the position from guard on top but Steel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wabbit with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Wabbit postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Steel is pulling down on Wabbit's head to control his posture. Steel wants to stand up but Wabbit is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wabbit in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Steel wants to stand and escape but Wabbit is having none of it. Steel is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Wabbit wants to control from the top but Steel keeps moving. Wabbit showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Steel wants to stand up but Wabbit is controlling him.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Steel takes a shot to the body in his stride.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steel connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Wabbit throws an overhand right that lands on Steel's shoulder, as Steel tries to avoid the shot. Wabbit changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Alex Steel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Steel shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Steel missing with a left hand there. Wabbit was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Steel leaves Wabbit with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Steel uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wabbit. Steel checks the leg kick. Steel rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Wabbit winds up and cracks Steel with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Wabbit is pressing down on Steel's thigh, looking to free his foot. Steel is holding on for now. Wabbit slips a nice elbow through Steel's hands, connecting with Steel's forehead. Steel is trying to stand.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Steel is looking to escape. Wabbit looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Steel is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Wabbit scores with a couple of nice shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Steel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wabbit is working away from the top position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Wabbit wants to control from the top but Steel keeps moving. Wabbit wants to pass the guard but Steel is keeping the position. Steel looking for a sweep. Not yet Steel, not yet. Wabbit loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wabbit prevents Steel from getting back to his feet. Wabbit trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Wabbit lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Wabbit controls the pace of the fight for a moment. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wabbit accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wabbit throws a shot from downtown. Steel moves away and avoids it. Wabbit has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Wabbit there as he acknowledges the shot. Steel slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Wabbit shoots in for a takedown but Steel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Some wild striking there from Steel.
Wabbit manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Steel on his heels. He'll look to pass Steel's guard now, I'm sure. Steel is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wabbit is controlling him. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The fighters circling - Steel throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Wabbit shoots for a double leg takedown but Steel sprawls well. He's pushed Wabbit's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Steel lands with a right hand. Steel on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Wabbit. Wabbit obviously looking to wear him down.
Steel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Steel throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A combination from Steel does no damage. Steel is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted. Wabbit moves away from the strike by Steel. Wabbit scores with a decent looking hook. Wabbit shoots in and bounces Steel off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wabbit with a flurry of punches that miss.

and Steel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wabbit dips to his left and cracks Steel with an uppercut! Wabbit feints and then cracks Steel's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Steel down. Steel paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Wabbit goes for a double leg but Steel avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Steel continues to drive forward. Wabbit misses with a punch to the body.
Steel is trying to break the clinch but Wabbit is controlling him. Steel misses with the head strike.
Steel lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Wabbit backwards. Wabbit tries to stall but Steel uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Steel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Steel throws an overhand right that lands on Wabbit's shoulder, as Wabbit tries to avoid the shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A telegraphed right hand from Steel misses the target. Steel lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Wabbit moves away from the strike by Steel. Steel keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wabbit. A big right from Steel misses. Wabbit throws a big shot that misses. Wabbit closes the distance and lands a one-two. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Steel throws a combination that misses and Wabbit counters with a nice double leg into side control. Steel won't be happy with that. Steel takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Steel pushes Wabbit away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Wabbit gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roger Wabbit had his way with Alex Steel in that round. The cut man is working on Alex Steel's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Wabbit closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Steel did well to prevent Wabbit getting side control. Wabbit wants to control but Steel is keeping him busy. Wabbit thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Roger Wabbit overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Steel is trying to control but can't.
Wabbit content to control rather than advance. Steel scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Wabbit manages to mount him!
That's one minute gone in the round. Wabbit with the ground and pound from mount. Steel tries to hold on but Wabbit postures up. Steel might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wabbit haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Wabbit trying to control but he's not successful this time. Steel trying desperately to get to his feet.
Wabbit is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Steel can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Wabbit landing strikes, looking to finish! Steel is trying to stand. Steel wants to control but Wabbit is having none of it. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wabbit cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Steel is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Wabbit postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Steel looks a forlorn figure.
Steel is still in real trouble! Can Wabbit finish him? Wabbit postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Steel badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Wabbit around the waist but Wabbit pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Wabbit is the winner by TKO! Wabbit jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
