Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spider Trenton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spider Trenton will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Woods is defended easily by Trenton.
Trenton swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Woods ducks under a wild hook from Trenton.
Woods takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Trenton scores with a nice head shot.
Trenton moves out of range as Woods throws a body kick.
Trenton thuds a left hand into Woods's body.

Trenton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Trenton's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Trenton duly obliges.
Spider Trenton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Trenton takes a swing at Woods's ribcage but misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Trenton. Woods does a little dance to reset his feet.
Trenton cracks Woods with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Trenton throws a lazy right hand but Woods sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Woods throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Trenton's waist but Trenton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Woods off to one side.
Woods avoids a punch combination nicely.
Woods tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Trenton defends well and Woods ends up having to push Trenton into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

and Trenton counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Trenton is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Woods rather than just go for the knockout.
Woods uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Trenton.

Woods drops his hands momentarily and Trenton takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Woods gets control of Trenton's arms and successfully pulls guard. Woods will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Woods seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Woods is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Woods moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Woods wants to control from the top but Trenton keeps moving.

Woods tries to free his leg and advance position but Trenton is retaining full guard.
Trenton pulls Woods in close to his closed guard and prevents Woods from doing any damage or advancing position.
Woods connects with a couple of short punches.
Woods stands and throws Trenton's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Woods tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Woods is working to tighten is grip on Trenton's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Trenton has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Woods is really squeezing tight and eventually Trenton passes out! Woods breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
