Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Harry Longmire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Wheeler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Longmire comes to the ring accompanied by More Human Than Human by White Zombie. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harry Longmire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Louis Wheeler!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longmire misses the shot to the body.

and Wheeler counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Longmire's guard now.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Wheeler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Longmire tries to avoid it but Wheeler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Longmire to the ground. Longmire escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wheeler uses his free foot to push down on Longmire's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Longmire.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Longmire looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wheeler is fending him off so far but Longmire persists. Nope, Wheeler circles away and we're back to standing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Wheeler fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Longmire manages to avoid it.

Wheeler bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wheeler takes a little break here. Longmire wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Well Wheeler has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
