Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryusaki Yagami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Ruiz shoots in looking for a takedown but Yagami manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ruiz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ruiz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Yagami swivels and escapes.
Yagami changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Ryusaki Yagami has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Ruiz.
Yagami is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

It looks like Victor Ruiz has been cut.
Ruiz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yagami's waist but Yagami gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ruiz off to one side.
Ruiz gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Yagami drops his shoulder and cracks Ruiz with a huge uppercut! Ruiz goes down! Can Yagami finish him?

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Yagami drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yagami jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Yagami has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Yagami has gone for a leg lock! Ruiz slips out almost immediately though and dives into Yagami's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yagami escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ruiz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Yagami is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ruiz defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yagami has his foot on Ruiz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ruiz works his way back into a safe position though.

Ruiz drops back looking for a leg! Yagami is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Yagami manages to kick Ruiz off! Ruiz jumps back into Yagami's guard.

Ruiz is posturing up here but Yagami has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Ruiz tries to roll out but it's too tight and Ruiz has to tap! Slick submission there by Yagami!
