Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Byron Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nelson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kanye West feat Chief Keef, Pusha T, Jadakiss, Big Sean - I Don't Like. Miller has chosen Don't Worry, Be Happy! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Byron Nelson had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

14 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Hugo Miller! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller throws a wild body kick that Nelson sees coming a mile off. A slapping leg kick lands for Miller.
Miller ducks under a wild hook from Nelson. Miller throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Miller has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Nelson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Miller was well out of range. Poor timing from Nelson. Miller swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nelson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Nelson throws a lazy right hand but Miller sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Miller lands a body shot.
Nelson takes a swing at Miller's ribcage but misses. Miller takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Miller uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. A jab lands there for Miller. Nelson misses with the combination.

Miller thumps Nelson with a low kick. Nelson looks to land a body kick but Miller moved away. Miller takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Nelson misses with a looping left. Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Miller was well out of range. Poor timing from Nelson. Nelson misses the jab. Miller's corner calls for a 1-2. Miller obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Miller avoids a kick to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Nelson.

Nelson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Nelson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nelson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Miller lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Nelson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Miller - the referee stops the clock and Nelson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Miller. Nelson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Nelson lands with a good body shot. Miller looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Nelson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Miller. Nelson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Nelson just misses with a punch to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson checks a leg kick. The fight stays on the outside here - Miller looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nelson misses with a straight right. Nelson throws a body punch but Miller moves out of range. A head kick misses from Miller. Nelson lands a nice looking body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Miller throws a leg kick which misses Nelson's front leg but catches the back leg as Nelson tries to avoid it. Nelson swats away the attempt to clinch by Miller. Miller looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Nelson checks a leg kick. Nelson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Nelson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Miller. Nelson tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Nelson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Miller thows a body shot but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nelson throws a body punch but Miller moves out of range. Miller wants to clinch and Nelson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Miller won't be happy with that. Miller is not content to let Nelson control the position. Nelson working the ground and pound. Miller wants to control but Nelson postures up. Nelson is looking to take a break and control but Miller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Miller gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Nelson seems to be working for a kimura but Miller defends the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nelson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nelson trying to control the pace. Miller wants to control but Nelson is keeping busy and won't allow it. Nelson prevents Miller from improving his position. Miller avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Nelson. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miller is staying active underneath Nelson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Nelson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Miller knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Byron Nelson will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Miller tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. We've been told by Nelson's head coaches at Consortium Private LA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Nelson is looking to wear down Miller with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Miller buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Nelson misses the shot to the body. Miller attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Nelson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Hugo Miller seems to be getting the better of the standup. Miller thows a body shot but no joy. Byron Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nelson throws a half hearted mid kick. Nelson throws a nice looking combination but Miller bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Miller connects with a leg kick. Nelson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. A nice inside leg kick there by Miller. That's going to slow Nelson down. Nelson throws a head kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Nelson. No joy for Miller on that attempt. Miller connects with a right hand. Nelson shakes it off. Miller throws a hook but Nelson blocks it. Nelson jabs Miller to the body, keeping him at a distance. Nelson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Miller. Miller lets loose with a powerful body kick. Nelson will feel that in the morning. The fighters circling - Nelson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nelson blocks a leg kick. Miller throws a shot from downtown. Nelson moves away and avoids it. Miller lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Miller keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nelson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Miller throws a sloppy body shot
and Nelson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Miller! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nelson throwing shots but missing, from side control. Miller is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Miller manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Miller missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Miller throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Nelson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Miller trying to control the action but Nelson is working from the bottom. Miller might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nelson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nelson regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller is working Nelson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Nelson has his hands on Miller's head, controlling the position. Miller with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Nelson wants to sweep but no luck. Nelson controls Miller momentarily but Miller frees himself. Miller connects with a couple of short punches. Nelson keeping moving, preventing Miller from controlling successfully. Miller passes easily into side control. Nice work. Miller tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nelson keeps working. Miller scoring with punches from side control. Nelson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Miller trying to control the position but Nelson is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nelson is looking to regain half guard here but Miller keeps moving and retains side control. Miller scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Nelson to see if he's OK. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hugo Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Nelson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nelson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Nelson presses Miller against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Miller blocking some punches.
Nelson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Miller is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Nelson is defending well for now. Miller is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Miller blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Nelson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Miller backwards. Miller is looking to control Nelson's arms but Nelson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Miller has his back to the cage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Miller. Nelson throws an elbow but it misses.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Byron Nelson. I think Nelson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
