The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chalmers thuds his right hand into Ali's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kyle Chalmers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ali throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chalmers.
Ali misses with a few strikes there.
Ali throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Chalmers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Chalmers will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Ali tries to clinch there but Chalmers circles away.
Kyle Chalmers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Ali looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chalmers is fending him off so far but Ali persists. Nope, Chalmers circles away and we're back to standing.

Chalmers bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ali's head backwards.

Ali needs to keep his hands up - Chalmers had a free shot at his head there.
Chalmers cracks Ali with a right hand to the side of the head.
Chalmers walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ali checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Ali rushes Chalmers and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Chalmers swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Ali breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ali fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chalmers lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ali at a distance.
Ali misses with a double jab
and Chalmers counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ali closes the distance and clinches up with Chalmers, looking for a takedown. Ali pushes Chalmers against the cage but Chalmers circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nice straight punches there by Chalmers. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Chalmers.

Ali takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Chalmers dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Chalmers cracks Ali with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Ali misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ali throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Chalmers fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ali on the side of the head.
Mohsin Ali is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Chalmers lands a nice hook to Ali's body. Ali takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Nice body kick there by Ali.
Ali drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ali drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Ali seems to have locked his on tight now - Chalmers screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Ali, as he picks up the win!
