Triggers fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nijhoff manages to avoid it.
Triggers wants to clinch up but Nijhoff keeps it at a distance.
Maikel Triggers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nijhoff scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Nijhoff is just content to waste time from the top position. Triggers takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Triggers pushes a forearm under Nijhoff's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Nijhoff is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
