Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adamh Pearse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quintus Daedalus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daedalus has chosen Spartacus Soundtrack as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 11 - 1, fighting out of London, Adamh Pearse! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Quintus Daedalus! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pearse looks to clinch and Daedalus counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Pearse! Daedalus wants to control but Pearse is keeping him busy. Daedalus tries to score with some ground and pound. Pearse controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Daedalus in side control, throwing shots but Pearse defends. Daedalus wants to control but Pearse is keeping him busy. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Daedalus looks up at the clock and then as Pearse takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Daedalus smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pearse defending against the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daedalus trying to control the position but Pearse is working away. Daedalus has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Daedalus is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pearse has escaped the position, nice work there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daedalus throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Daedalus scores with punches from side control. Daedalus fails to land a wild elbow strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Daedalus is looking to stall here but Pearse recovers full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Daedalus's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Pearse wants to get back to his feet but Daedalus passes into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pearse trying to control but Daedalus postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daedalus stalling away here and it's allowed Pearse to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Daedalus wants to control from the top but Pearse keeps moving. Daedalus loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Pearse working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Daedalus. Daedalus won't allow Pearse to sweep him here. Daedalus with a flurry of punches that miss. Daedalus throws a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Daedalus tries to free his leg and advance position but Pearse is retaining full guard. Daedalus stands up over Pearse, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Daedalus stands and throws Pearse's legs to the side, diving into side control. Daedalus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pearse keeps working. Pearse gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Daedalus misses with a head shot. Pearse uses the momentum to regain guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quintus Daedalus dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Pearse checks a low kick from Daedalus. Pearse throws a leg kick and Daedalus counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Pearse avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Daedalus. Daedalus lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Daedalus throwing shots but Pearse is blocking nicely. Pearse gets full guard. Pearse keeping full guard, as Daedalus tries to pass. Daedalus throws a strike but Pearse rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pearse wants to stand and escape but instead Daedalus has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Daedalus in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Pearse wants to stand up but Daedalus is controlling him. Daedalus wants to control from the top but Pearse keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daedalus with a flurry of punches that miss. Daedalus seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Daedalus stops Pearse from standing up. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Daedalus lands a couple of digs. Daedalus postures up in Pearse's guard and throws a big left but Pearse blocks it. Pearse is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daedalus scoring with some ground and pound. Daedalus throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pearse works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Daedalus missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Daedalus passes Pearse's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Pearse is not content to let Daedalus control the position. Pearse keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Daedalus wants to free his trapped foot but Pearse is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pearse is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Daedalus scores with a couple of nice shots. Pearse moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Daedalus trying to control the position from guard on top but Pearse is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Daedalus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quintus Daedalus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Daedalus ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Daedalus blocks a jab. Pearse throws out a loose jab but Daedalus uses good head movement to avoid it. Pearse swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pearse, as that shot connected.
Pearse throws a combination. Daedalus tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Daedalus connects with a good right hand that stumbles Pearse. Pearse circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Adamh Pearse is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Daedalus keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Pearse avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daedalus is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pearse is aware though and is defending well. Daedalus wants to hit a switch here but Pearse passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Daedalus there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Daedalus regains half guard. Daedalus wants to get back to full guard but Pearse has passed into side control. Daedalus regains half guard there - taking advantage of Pearse's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
And that's the end of the fight! Quintus Daedalus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Daedalus has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
